Badminton is indoor or outdoor game?

Competitively it is purely an indoor game since the wind and weather would interfere too much outside. If you're just playing in the summer at your grandma's house during afternoon tea then it could be played outdoors. I actually play badminton competitively though, so to me it is an indoor game.
