Can anyone explain these Crucible foils?

Well, Hale and Parris are foils b/c Parris has almost nothing redeemable about his character, while Hale is a much more complex, morally ambiguous figure. Why don't you read up on their character yses from the link below and try to see how these characters are actually foils? Good luck!
